Tranquility...

A tranquil evening spent together :)

My above painting started with the above thought :)
I wanted to create a scene which showed a loving couple, spending the evening together - my idea was that the graphic should be able to depict this. The sketching done, background paint ready - just when i was to start painting the faces, was when the change in plan came in. I kids wanted to paint with me AND that too now on a separate canvas - my 5 year old wanted to paint the people - and the eyes - and even wanted to choose the colours. COLOURS - what can be the colours if i want to paint people??? This was the only thought that crossed my mind. And now came the additional demand from my 10 year old - he wanted to have peacock in the painting.

Hahahahahaha!!!! and there went my traquility out of the window.
Anyways, we again started with the painting AND to my surprise, with a little bit of direction the painting turned out to be as seen above - i can very well say - way beyond the expression of "Tranquility". This included the feelings of elation, happiness, satisfaction and to top it all the feeling of togetherness AND yes truly justified the meaning of "Tranquility".

Personalization in this era of duplicity :)

One of my initial paintings - taken straight from the google search pictures :)
BUT it still has an impression of me in this. When you see this among the other paintings that i have in my collection, you can straight away see the impression that i am talking about. The colours, the strokes, the impression - all has an aura of me in this. Personalization :)

And once again, this taught me something - this showed very clearly how all of us who grow in the same surrounding, learning from the same books, the same knowledge, same content - but each of us absorb things differently - giving the same content different meanings. This is why everyday is different, every interaction is different.

Every step, every move of yours, leave an impression in the world - among people, surroundings. In order to make this earth a better place (no - not talking from spiritual or any "Guru" kinda influence ;) ) - positive energy should be created around us - and this happens only when your aura radiates positivity and energy.

Every step of yours is unique and leaves an impression on everyone around you - so you better gear up and start creating a positive everlasting impression :)

Bye till the next blog :)

Perfection is surreal

Is the above perfect - i don't have an answer and i have not even tried to think of an answer for the above being perfect.

Can you define perfection? A famous saying is, "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" and my take on this is :) - "Perfection lies in the eyes of the beholder" :)

Now coming to the question - what is perfection? The dictionary says perfection is 'being faultless', 'ideal', 'state of completeness' AND yes agreed, perfection is state of completeness.
Now who defines what is completeness - completeness can have both qualitative and quantitative side to it.
So lets discuss perfection of the above painting to bring the idea home
Quantitative perfection

  • Colour intensity
  • Shades used
  • %coverage of the overall area ;)
  • Contour perfection

Qualitative perfection
  • Does it appeal to senses
  • Does looking at this makes you feel happy
  • Do you want to change anything in the above
Really!!! i mean really!!!

Do you look at things and start judging the qualitative and quantitative aspects? Do you really do this in real life?
i bet NO! In real life, we look at things and enjoy the beauty. We marvel at what nature has given us - which is a mix of both good and bad. The combination of this makes a perfect nature - and this is what is perfection - it is looking at the beauty and appreciating it. Finding faults takes it to the new zone altogether AND we dont do this, iff, we have to enjoy what is there infront of us.

So guys, just live the moment and enjoy what is infront of you - give your best and the best will come bouncing back :)

Now you need to relook at the above painting - AND see - the painting does look perfect :)

CIAO!!!
